Good local spot for BBQ. The sauces were good and the food wasn’t over cooked. Service was great, they were attentive and helpful. Plenty of beers on tap. Good place to watch the game and have good food. We will be back.
Smoked brisket sandwich is rich and vibrant with flavor! First bite, instant mouth watering. Kinda sad not many people go there. But do go! Casual attire and relaxed ambiance. Sandwiches come with your choice of one side.
Went back recently, everything was just as good as it was 5 years ago!! Amazing bbq. Same menu as Bellflower location. Every meat smoked to perfection. No wrong choices on the menu.
I love me some Hambones. The service has always been good to me, whether I come in alone or with friends or my girlfriend. The place is clean and comfortable. The food is fantastic. The brisket and tri tip are some of the best in the area, and the ribs are quite good also. The tangy housemade BBQ sauce is delicious. I've been coming here for a few years now and have no plans to stop.
1st time trying this place out. I was craving some Beef Ribs and found this place with the help of Yelp. Checked out the reviews and made our way here. It was an off time of our visit, so my wife and I were literally the only people dining in at the restaurant. Which was really nice actually. I ordered the Beef Center cut Ribs. Oh-Emm-Gee!!..... Seriously the BEST beef ribs I've ever had. I am one of those guys that will search out beef ribs to try at new-to-me spots. I can't believe how meaty, tender and perfectly cooked they were. Each bite was heavenly. I ordered them dry because I love to taste the meaty goodness. (that's what she said!) I did however order a side of the spicy sauce. I'm not usually a fan of sweet. But this is the definition of "sweet heat". Little sweet at first taste, then it transitions quickly into this tasty tangy heat. Loved it! Wife ordered the pastrami sandwich. Again, I happen to be an aficionado of pastrami, just like beef ribs. HANDS DOWN,..... The BEST pastrami we've EVER had! It was smoked and you could taste it. Thinly sliced almost crispy around the edges and flavorful as heck! The bun was extremely soft and fresh. Wife and I both LOVED the sandwich! Sides!..... I got 2 sides with my ribs. I had the Spicy Collard greens and the potato salad. Both were delicious! Greens were fresh and tender and they didn't skimp on the spicy. Mouth was burning after a few bites. In a good way. Potato salad,.... Well let me just say this. First bite of the potato salad and I was instantly time warped back to being a kid and Mom making potato salad. It was delicious as well and totally reminded me of Mom's potato salad. My Mom passed away a couple years ago and this potato salad was a welcomed memory of her. Overall a fantastic experience! Service was great, decor was nice and almost forgot,.... Great pricing on draft beers. Decent selection as well. Wife got a huge mug of Stella for 6 bucks.......like whaaaaat?? We will definitely be back soon!
Great happy hour specials. You can't beat tacos or wings and a pitcher of beer for 20 while the NFL games are on. I love the pumpkin cider. The place is clean, the food is good, the staff is friendly and price is right. I love this place.
We made our own assortment combo and were completely satisfied, we got 1/4 lb of tritip, 1/4 of pastrami, sides of mashed potatoes, cloeslaw, & mac 'n cheese, because classics, & the peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. We got both the cpassic & spicy bbq sauces because we needed to try the comparison for science, both were amazing, the spice has subtle growth. We really should have ordered more pastrami and we were drying to try the sweet potato fries, guess we will have to go back for the other items that kept jumping off the menu at us. Decisions are hard when you are hungry.
Originally established in Bellflower this second location in Huntington Beach is just as amazing serving the outstanding barbecue they are known for. Each item is to die for, thank me later you will not be disappointed.
